November

Hello everyone.

It's been a few weeks since I posted anything. Here is what is happening

Sean has finished High School soccer and yesterday had his first practice of the season with his club team. He was very excited to get back to club soccer. He got his report card last week and again is still getting all A's. New last week also He now has a Girl Friend. We have been waiting for this to come and I was happy that he was taking his time in this area. However it is here now and I have to deal with him getting older. darn it! She is a very nice talkative (just like him) girl. Her name is Meagan and he has been so happy this past week. He is not yelling as much to his siblings and even talking to me more and not just hiding down stairs. He invited her over here for dinner on Friday and then went to her house on Saturday evening. It is very cute.

he had a friend take a picture of Meagan and him at school. it was taken on his phone so not a great picture but all I have. officially boyfriend girlfriend as of Monday Nov. 16th

Sean took the train for the first time yesterday to go and visit Ashley for the weekend. He is skipping school today but the rest of the week he does not have school. Other then soccer, school, and now girlfriend, he is still doing boy scouts. they were supposed to be going on a camping trip to Camp Merriweather to work on their shooting badge. but that was canceled. bummer he was excited to go. He also had wreath sales and will be doing scouting for food this coming week I believe. Nothing else going on with him

Kaelyn has had couple of meet's. this last one was on Saturday (Northern Sectionals) this was a big one. The top 72 gymnast in each level move on to State. She had a great meet. She got her highest yet all around of the season. 36.275. She set a goal to get a 36 and she did. here are a few videos and pictures.

Here she is on bars. I could not get the camera set in time so i missed the first half. her average scores are normally around 8.8. She received her highest bar score as level 5 of 9.3. She was very proud.

This is her Beam routine. bad video sorry. It did not go so well. she was very nervous because she was having a hard time sticking her cartwheel during warm ups and she kept watching others fall off the beam. anyway not her best. during practices she has a beautiful routine and could have easily scored a 9 but too many wobbles and she got an 8.5.

Here she is on her best event Floor. she has consistently scored high on floor but this meet was the highest yet of a 9.4.

First Vault

2nd vault. I think that they take the better of the two. she has been scoring 8.85 on this event but this weekend she finally got past that and scored a 9.05. Yeah.

She came in 8th place for Vault, 3rd place for bars and floor and 8th place all around. She did not place in the top 10 for beam. So we came home with 4 metals, and qualified to go to state. States are in 2 weeks in Corvallis. Besides gymnastics she has had her school and girl scouts where she finished a careers badge and went bowling. Nothing else major going on.

Jake had his last soccer game and end of the season party where he got a trophy that he has slept with ever since. Erik took him and did not get any photos. I will work on that and then post them later. He has had cub scouts but nothing major. He went on a hike with his grandpa this weekend and got a hair cut. that boys hair grows too fast. And this morning he lost his 2nd baby tooth. it was just hanging there last night but he would not let me do anything. this morning I handed him a paper towel and said just pinch and pull and he did. It helped that Jessie lost her first tooth last week and he did not want her to catch up to him. He has been working on it ever since. Now that soccer is over he has started back in gymnastics and very excited about it as well. He could not wait for his first class. Nothing else major going on with him, however he did have a funny story though. Erik bought the kids a new kind of ice cream for desert last week. It was Hot cocoa flavor. He was very excited to taste it, he got his bowl first and sat down to eat it and then said "but it is not hot" He was totally convinced that his Ice Cream was suppose to be hot because it was called Hot Cocoa. Silly little man.

Jessie. big news this month on November 19th while at a girl scout event Pump it Up. which is just an inflatable play ground, she lost her first tooth. They were working on a fitness, nutrition badge and the were talking about healthy foods and gave them an apple to eat. she took a few bites and then started crying that her tooth hurt. I looked at her apple and her tooth was stuck in the apple. She did not even know that it came out. Well the tears got bigger and louder. She kept saying that it hurt because one of the other little girls told her that it was bleeding (which it was not). It took her quite a while to settle down. She would not let us take a picture until the next night. so here they are Jessie with her first missing tooth.

the tooth ferry came and left her $2.00

Besides her normal school, gymnastics, and girl scouts nothing else big to talk about this week. She also had a funny story though. She has been learning about animals in school and her teacher read a book about baby animals. so for a couple of days she would come home and ask me "Did you know that a baby kangaroo is called a joey?" I would reply yes and she would continue through a few animals "well did you know that a baby lion is called a cub?" this went on for couple of days and then one evening when she was asking again I responded "yes but do you know what a baby human is called?" Her response caught me off guard. She said "yes! a mammal!". Well I guess she told me. The way she said it was quite funny. Like dahh don't you know.

As for Erik and I, same o same o. We are just carting kids where they need to be trying to relax a bit in the evenings. We bought movie tickets through the school fundraiser so we have been taking the kids to the movie most past few weekends. you get 10 movies for $9.00 a kid. They are all movies that are either already out on video or coming soon to video. We have watched Ice Age 3, race to witch mountain. Aliens in the attack. We have missed a few due to having to be at other places. Other then that not much going on. Kids all have school conferences this week so we will see how everyone is doing. Hope all have a great thanksgiving. and see you all soon.

Jessie made herself a crown and wanted us to take a picture of it.

Happy Halloween everyone. Friday evening the 3 younger kids and I went to the school carnival. They dressed up in their costumes and played some games, ate some pizza, and had faces painted. They had fun somewhat. Jessie is very slow and by the time we got to the games they were closing up and she did not get to very many games. Jake kept wondering off on his own and we had to keep searching for him and Kaelyn threw a fit over having to help find him. but the girls loved getting their hands painted with henna. and Jake loved all the games. they came home with a small baggie full of little prizes and candy.

Saturday was Halloween and we were crazy busy. Jake was suppose to have a soccer game but did not feel well when he got up. Sometime in the middle of the night he banged his head pretty good on his bed and when he woke up he had a headache. So they did not go to the game. I had work and then came home and picked up everyone (except Sean). the 3 younger kids all had Dr. apt. Kaelyn just had a recheck for her asthma (she was wheezing a little at her check up and needed to have it re-checked to make sure that the medicine was working). She also had to have couple of shots that some how she missed when she was younger. Her paediatrician did not give them to her and it was not caught until we switched Dr.'s so now we get to play catch up with her. She was I think 54" tall and weighed about 66 lbs.

Jake and Jessie had their Well child checks. Jake up grew 3 inches this past year but still can not get out of the 25th percentile. he was 44 or 45 ". can'[t remember and he was 47 lbs. And believe it or not he finally went up a size in pants. yeah he is now wearing size 6 slims. And of course he had to get his flu shot and that did not go over well. he also had to have blood drawn and well he put up quite a fit. It took 2 of us to hold him down after we had to catch him. As soon as he found out that he was getting a shot he took off out the door, down the hall way and hid in a corner. What fun. Jessie was 40 lbs and I thing was 42" She also had to get her polio booster and the flu shot and was OK at first. She kept saying that she wanted 2 but then as soon as it was her turn she put up a little fight but not too bad. Even Erik and I got our flu shots. And Sean already got his just before school started.

After the Dr. appointments we took Kaelyn and Jessie to gymnastics (Jessie had a make-up and Kaelyn was at High flyer's). We then went to the dollar store to get a few things we needed for Halloween and then got dinner and then home to get ready. We picked up their cousin Will and went trick or treating. The kids had fun. Jessie tuckered out after about 20 min and Kaelyn was whining a bit as well. but the boys where running and did not want to stop and so Kaelyn continued with them but Jessie stooped and went to Grandma and Grandpa's to rest and wait for the rest of us. Sean decided to spend his Saturday with friends. they took the bus down town and terrorized people at pioneer square and then back to our side of town and eventually home with couple of his friends to watch a movie. (he is getting too old)

Sunday was church-work. Kaelyn was presented with a new bible and was pretty excited that dad went and stayed most of the time. We then headed home for some lunch and then off to the movie at the joy cinema (school fundraiser, 10 movies, 1 per each week, for $9 adults accompanied children free). We watched Race to Witch Mountain which we did not think was not meant for young kids. Kaelyn did not like parts of it because it was too scary, and Jake thought it was a great movie because of the shooting and fighting the aliens but was scared at some parts. Jessie was bored and kept climbing from my lab to Erik's and then back to me. We then went to Erik's parents for birthday celebrations. Some weekend we will not have anything planned and stay home and rest or do nothing. Enjoy the pictures. There are some from the summer. I finally got the pictures off grandpa's camera. there are photos from our trip to eagle crest, kaelyn horse back riding, Erik and Jessie's trip to Kansas and Halloween.
