Big heat wave came thru this week July 27th

So the heat got here this week. It was pretty hot. 2 days in a row it was about 109 with a 78% humidity. We have no air conditioning so it was very warm. We did set up the big pool so that the kids could cool down. I even got in a couple of times to cool off. Sean had soccer camp this week. lucky for him it was in the morning so not as hot. Thursday after daycare was over and Erik was home we cleaned the house and packed our stuff for our trip to Eagle Crest. We left early Friday morning and came back on Sunday. Again I forgot my camera but luckily Grandpa had not left yet and I was able to catch him and had him bring his camera. so as soon as I get the pictures I will post.

busy week

OK so this week July 20Th -July 24Th was a crazy busy week. We got through it and all is happy. the girls had girl scout camp this week. Jake went to VBS and Sean hung out at home with some friends as well as going to soccer practice. The girls left just before 8 and did not come home until around 5 in the evening. they both had a blast and as soon as I get some pictures from my friend who went with them I will post them. After daycare the 3 younger kids did a track and field camp as well. from 6:30-8:30. this camp was put on through Portland Christian Center. Each day they got to practice track and field events and then they did a learning session on a character trait. so the first day was Respect and then responsibility, Fairness. and the last day (Thursday) they put all the traits together and did some fun activities as well as each team racing each other. Jessie did not run at all. Jake did 1 relay and was just happy to be there with other kids. Kaelyn ran 2 relay races and was speedy fast. one of the races she brought her team up from 5th or 6th place to 2nd place. they ended up coming in 2nd. and I can not remember the other race. she was fast. Her dad would like to see her do Track and Field. Jake went to Vacation Bible School from 9-12 every day. and he had a blast because it was something just for him and the girls did not go.

On Saturday Jake went to the Beach with his grandpa, grandma, Aunt Angie and Cousin Will. they spend the night and came home on Sunday. unfortunately they forgot to take a camera so no pictures. Kaelyn went to her Friend Ashley's house for a sleep over and Sean hung out at home. that left just Jessie so we took her to a thing called A Party in the Park at Tualatin hills rec center. they had auto show, children entertainer, inflatables, pony rides, and more. We did not get there until almost 2 by the time I got out of work and came home and ate lunch so we did not get to do a whole lot. luckily my friend was there and let us get in line with them to ride the pony's as they had already stood there for 45 min before we got there and an additional 30 min after we were standing in line. We did get a few pictures of that but have not had a chance to put them on the computer yet.

Sunday the 26Th
I went to work like normal. Sean and Jessie stayed home with Dad. We did a few chores and relaxed most of the day. Kaelyn came home late afternoon and Jake came home around 3:00. nothing much exciting today.
