Jessie's Birthday Party and Fathers Day

Well I got to take off a couple of days last week. on Thursday we hung around the house did a bit of painting in the kitchen and did some chores. not a very exciting day. On Friday we had gymnastics practice, however Jessie woke up with a fever and an ear ache so she did not go. After gym. we came home ate some lunch and hung out for a bit. Jessie and I then left to go and pick up stuff for her party on Saturday and then head to the doctor to check out that ear. and Surprise surprise she had an ear infection. Well I already knew that but I can't prescribe her any medication to make it go away so we had to get the word from the Dr. We then headed to Fred's to pick up the medication which they were crazy busy at 5:30 and we had to wait for a consult. Not that We have not done pink medicine several times before to know how to give it to her but had to wait. that took an extra 10 min. oh well we did not have anything to do (hahaha). We finally finished and headed home. Sean made the kids dinner while Erik and I left to go to the grocery store. and then home to bake cupcakes and work on some chores. busy day.

Saturday
I took kaelyn to gymnastics and then came home and finished decorating the cupcakes and then went to work. everyone else was stuck home working on chores.
Jessie's party was at 2:00 and we had to change it to our house instead of the park because of the weather. The kids were good about it though and Jake set up a game station (he called it) in his room and was having the kids do something and then finding a toy of his or Jessie's to give them as there prize. we now have a few less toys in the house. It was quite funny. Kaelyn set up a nail painting station and painted nails for whoever wanted it done. Jessie wanted play dough so Sean made some play dough for her and we found all the play dough toys. We had some snacks while the kids were playing and then time for cake and gifts and goody bags and saying good bye. not bad for a last minute change in plan's. Here are a few pictures of the party. battery died on the camera so we did not get too many.

Thank you everyone for coming to my party and for the great gifts

Sunday Happy Fathers day

I had to work this morning so I woke up the kids as I was leaving and they wrapped up some gifts and made some cards and taped them to the bathroom door and the kitchen door. and then made Erik some breakfast of cereal and cinnamon toast and milk (they did not know how to make the coffee so dad had to do that). they woke him up and gave him breakfast and then everyone got cleaned up and dressed and ready to go to grandma's house for brunch. I picked them up after I got out of work and we had brunch with grandpa and grandma, Aunt Angie, Joe and Will. and Uncle Matt. Kaelyn brought her bean plants to grandpa to plant in his garden and the other kids played on the swing. everyone had fun. we left there and came home to relax for a bit and Erik watched the race. Erik, Jake and Jessie then headed back down to Grandma's to play with Will while Kaelyn and I hung out and watched a movie and then made dinner. After dinner it was time for little guys to head off to bed. Jessie was almost asleep before the rest of us finished eating. Hope all you dad's had a great day.

Last week of School

Well the kids last day of school was on Wednesday for the older kids and Jessie's last day was on Thursday the 11th (her birthday) The kids are excited to be out for the summer well at least Sean and Kaelyn. Jake asked me this morning if he could go to school. and Jessie asks me every night this week if it is a school night or a church night. Hard to get out of the school routine I guess. She is excited to go to kindergarten though. Erik and I went to her Little end of school party on Thursday and listened to her sing a few songs and eat her snack (frosted cookies for
her birthday). Here are a few pictures.

On Wednesday Sean had his 8th grade graduation. here are a few pictures from that.

Sean with her Perfect attendance Award. He missed the 4.0 award because he got a B in Band the first quarter of 6th grade. Oh well.

June 1 2009

Kaelyn had a trip to the Oregon Humane Society with the Girl Scout troop. She came home and had picked out a new kitten that she wanted. even named it Mimi. We are not getting another animal right now so that was a bit upsetting. Tuesday was our normal soccer practice for Sean and Gymnastics for Kaelyn. Wednesday Sean had his last band concert. They were much better then even the concert couple of months ago. The rest of the week I worked on the Girl Scout memory book. I finished it just in time to get it printed and off to my Co- Leader to get the bond.

June 5 2009
Tonight we had a ceremony for the Girl Scouts. They are bridging to the next level Juniors. It went much better then we thought it was going. the girls did great on the poem reading and crossed over the bridge to receive their juniors tab and patches. We then had a potluck dinner with the group and passed out awards. it was a good night.

The pictures turned out really dark but you can kind of see her in the group.

June 6-7 2009
Saturday was our normal Jake t-ball game at 11. I worked until 12:00. Sean had a soccer tournament this weekend. He played 2 games on Saturday and lost both. We then headed to gymnastics and then home for dinner and relaxing

Sunday I went to work like normal. came home and picked everyone up and headed to the soccer fields for another afternoon of games. he played 3 more games today and won 1 and tied 2. No medals this tournament. The rest of the day was spent playing. Erik's brother came over and Erik, Matt and the kids played the xbox. I hid in my room because they were trying to get me to sing. I had fun though chit chatting on the phone and watching a movie. Jessie came in and snuggled for a bit and then her and I went to the store to pick out a birthday present for her friend's party on Monday. We were there for almost an hour. she touched everything and finally decided her friend would like a princess beach towel. Well now I know what stuff she wants for her birthday later this week.

busy times

OK, it has been a while sorry. Grandpa and Grandma Karla were here for couple of weeks and we were really busy. We went to the water park with grandpa and Karla and Michelle and her kids. the kids had a blast. we got to spend a few dinners with them and they came over and visited us during daycare. Jessie did not warm up as quickly this year and although she talked about them all the time and wanted to know when great grandpa and great Karla (she kept saying that, I thought it was cute) was going to come over. She did not want much to do with them when they we were with them. Little stinker. She has been going through a phase though. she has been more afraid of stuff and even though she wants to do stuff on her own she is afraid to do it. The other day we were at Jake's t-ball practice and she needed to use the bathroom. She told me to stay there and she would walk down to the porta potty. however I followed but not too close. good thing because as soon as she got there and started going in there was a spider web and she was out of there and screaming for me. All in all it was a nice Visit and we can't wait until next year. Grandpa and Karla left on Friday May 29Th. We had a quiet weekend, sort of. We had our normal gymnastics and t-ball and my work. Erik and Sean spent all of Saturday working in the yard. Yeah. we can see the ground again. Still lots of weeds to pull but much better. Sunday was a quiet day. We had work and did not much else but relax and hang out.
