Xmas pictures 2009

my favorite. she was mad because she said that she does not know how to smile

2009 is almost over. wow.

We had a great Christmas. the kids were spoiled like normal. Santa brought them a new trampoline to replace the broken pieces to the old one. (it was much cheaper to buy a new one then to order a new pad for the springs and net for the enclosure) Sean got a new tv. We video taped but did not get many pictures. sorry. I will see if I can get some of the video on the computer.

We spent Christmas eve baking cookies and then had our Christmas party with Erik's family. by the time we got back from church and ate and then they had to wait for me to get home, (I had to work 2 services at the church0 and opened gifts and everyone left it was pretty late. I think the kids got to bed around 10:30. they did get their notes written to santa. Jake's cracked me up because he wrote. "Dear Santa, I do not have a cavity and I want star wars clone wars. Love Jakob" We did have dentist appointments that week and we had gotten a letter from school saying that they had a teeth screening and it appeared that Jakob had 1 or more cavities. He was really worried about that and when the dentist told him he did not he was pretty excited but was not expecting that to come out on his Dear Santa letter. made me laugh. well Erik and I were up pretty late finishing wrapping and getting stuff set up.

Christmas morning the kids slept in to about 8 and then 2 of them the girls woke up and we had to wake the boys up. we opened gifts and then played a bit and then had breakfast/brunch. after we cleaned up we went to Erik's parents house to deliver their gift and she gave the kids some stocking gifts that santa left there. and then onto Aunt bonnies and uncle mikes.

Saturday
I had work and the 3 younger kids came with me. then we dropped Jake off at home and went on to do some shopping and pick up lunch, then home to get ready for company. Aunt Cathy, Michelle and Jason and kids came over to visit and have dinner.

Sunday
I worked and then we went to Caleb's 1st birthday party. and then home for a nap. and we did noghting. just hung out and relaxed. A great way to end a very busy week.Sean putting on the Angel

hello everyone
Hope you all had a great thanksgiving. We did our normal, dinner at Erik's family in the early afternoon and then dinner with my family in the evening. We were pretty stuffed after all that food. The kids had fun. Sean was upset the day after thanksgiving because his girl friend broke up with him but he is doing fine now and flirting with other girls.

We have been busy with the kids conferences, and getting ready for Christmas, plus the usual everyday activities. All the kids are doing well in school. Sean getting all A's still, He needs to get more sleep though sot hat he does not fall asleep in class. Kaelyn is doing everything that she needs to do. Jake needs to work on his reading but the little man is so smart. He had an assignment to do in class Filling out a 100's chart. and he still gets mixed up on writing numbers so he remembered that there was a banner on the wall with all the numbers on them and took his paper over to the table closest to the wall and started frantically writing down the numbers. His teacher thought that the other kids were going to notice him and figure it out as well but they were busy working and did not notice him. She thought that was very smart of him to figure that out. Jessie is doing great. she loves to read her wall words and is very good at memorizing them. she has a hard time sounding out words still but we are working on it very hard and she is very determined to catch up to Jake. Her teacher said that she is very strong in math. However she is having a hard time making friends at school, so we are going to work on some play dates for her.

Kaelyn had a big week She got her Braces off and retainers in on Thursday and had her last meet of the season. The Women's Junior Olympic State Championships for level 5. She was awesome. There were 20 in her age group. She got an 8.85 on Vault and came in 4th place, 9.00 on Bars and came in 9th place, 9.125 on Beam and came in 6th place, 9.250 on floor and came in 2nd place, and 36.225 all around and came in 3rd place. pictures and videos to come as soon as I get them on the computer.

Jakob had scouting for food and a trip to the fire station this weekend. Scouting for food the girls tagged along and helped and between the 4 kids that we had there they got it the neighborhood done in about 30 min. We had one lady that was really embarrassed though and the kids thought it was really funny. Sean's troop passed out the bags during the week and Jake's pack had to go and pick up the bags filled with food. They were just suppose to put out the plastic bags on their front porch. Well there was one house that had a plastic bag out but it was not filled with canned food. it was filled with doggy mess, and of coarse boys being boys had to take their turn looking in the bag. Well we left that house laughing and but the other dad that was with us did not see us go to that house and thought that we missed a bag so he went running up and had to look in the bag as well. at that point the lady came running out of the house to pick it up and then came back with a garbage bag filled with canned food. and we all had another laugh. On Sunday grandpa took Jake and Jessie to the Fire House trip. I am not sure if they got any pictures but I guess we were the only family that showed up to that trip but Jake did not care, he had a blast.

November

Hello everyone.

It's been a few weeks since I posted anything. Here is what is happening

Sean has finished High School soccer and yesterday had his first practice of the season with his club team. He was very excited to get back to club soccer. He got his report card last week and again is still getting all A's. New last week also He now has a Girl Friend. We have been waiting for this to come and I was happy that he was taking his time in this area. However it is here now and I have to deal with him getting older. darn it! She is a very nice talkative (just like him) girl. Her name is Meagan and he has been so happy this past week. He is not yelling as much to his siblings and even talking to me more and not just hiding down stairs. He invited her over here for dinner on Friday and then went to her house on Saturday evening. It is very cute.

he had a friend take a picture of Meagan and him at school. it was taken on his phone so not a great picture but all I have. officially boyfriend girlfriend as of Monday Nov. 16th

Sean took the train for the first time yesterday to go and visit Ashley for the weekend. He is skipping school today but the rest of the week he does not have school. Other then soccer, school, and now girlfriend, he is still doing boy scouts. they were supposed to be going on a camping trip to Camp Merriweather to work on their shooting badge. but that was canceled. bummer he was excited to go. He also had wreath sales and will be doing scouting for food this coming week I believe. Nothing else going on with him

Kaelyn has had couple of meet's. this last one was on Saturday (Northern Sectionals) this was a big one. The top 72 gymnast in each level move on to State. She had a great meet. She got her highest yet all around of the season. 36.275. She set a goal to get a 36 and she did. here are a few videos and pictures.

Here she is on bars. I could not get the camera set in time so i missed the first half. her average scores are normally around 8.8. She received her highest bar score as level 5 of 9.3. She was very proud.

This is her Beam routine. bad video sorry. It did not go so well. she was very nervous because she was having a hard time sticking her cartwheel during warm ups and she kept watching others fall off the beam. anyway not her best. during practices she has a beautiful routine and could have easily scored a 9 but too many wobbles and she got an 8.5.

Here she is on her best event Floor. she has consistently scored high on floor but this meet was the highest yet of a 9.4.

First Vault

2nd vault. I think that they take the better of the two. she has been scoring 8.85 on this event but this weekend she finally got past that and scored a 9.05. Yeah.

She came in 8th place for Vault, 3rd place for bars and floor and 8th place all around. She did not place in the top 10 for beam. So we came home with 4 metals, and qualified to go to state. States are in 2 weeks in Corvallis. Besides gymnastics she has had her school and girl scouts where she finished a careers badge and went bowling. Nothing else major going on.

Jake had his last soccer game and end of the season party where he got a trophy that he has slept with ever since. Erik took him and did not get any photos. I will work on that and then post them later. He has had cub scouts but nothing major. He went on a hike with his grandpa this weekend and got a hair cut. that boys hair grows too fast. And this morning he lost his 2nd baby tooth. it was just hanging there last night but he would not let me do anything. this morning I handed him a paper towel and said just pinch and pull and he did. It helped that Jessie lost her first tooth last week and he did not want her to catch up to him. He has been working on it ever since. Now that soccer is over he has started back in gymnastics and very excited about it as well. He could not wait for his first class. Nothing else major going on with him, however he did have a funny story though. Erik bought the kids a new kind of ice cream for desert last week. It was Hot cocoa flavor. He was very excited to taste it, he got his bowl first and sat down to eat it and then said "but it is not hot" He was totally convinced that his Ice Cream was suppose to be hot because it was called Hot Cocoa. Silly little man.

Jessie. big news this month on November 19th while at a girl scout event Pump it Up. which is just an inflatable play ground, she lost her first tooth. They were working on a fitness, nutrition badge and the were talking about healthy foods and gave them an apple to eat. she took a few bites and then started crying that her tooth hurt. I looked at her apple and her tooth was stuck in the apple. She did not even know that it came out. Well the tears got bigger and louder. She kept saying that it hurt because one of the other little girls told her that it was bleeding (which it was not). It took her quite a while to settle down. She would not let us take a picture until the next night. so here they are Jessie with her first missing tooth.

the tooth ferry came and left her $2.00

Besides her normal school, gymnastics, and girl scouts nothing else big to talk about this week. She also had a funny story though. She has been learning about animals in school and her teacher read a book about baby animals. so for a couple of days she would come home and ask me "Did you know that a baby kangaroo is called a joey?" I would reply yes and she would continue through a few animals "well did you know that a baby lion is called a cub?" this went on for couple of days and then one evening when she was asking again I responded "yes but do you know what a baby human is called?" Her response caught me off guard. She said "yes! a mammal!". Well I guess she told me. The way she said it was quite funny. Like dahh don't you know.

As for Erik and I, same o same o. We are just carting kids where they need to be trying to relax a bit in the evenings. We bought movie tickets through the school fundraiser so we have been taking the kids to the movie most past few weekends. you get 10 movies for $9.00 a kid. They are all movies that are either already out on video or coming soon to video. We have watched Ice Age 3, race to witch mountain. Aliens in the attack. We have missed a few due to having to be at other places. Other then that not much going on. Kids all have school conferences this week so we will see how everyone is doing. Hope all have a great thanksgiving. and see you all soon.

Jessie made herself a crown and wanted us to take a picture of it.
